Scott Walker is the incumbent governor of Wisconsin. After a failed attempt at that office in his 2006 campaign, he succeeded fours later and have been the governor since 2011. Walker is one of the younger top Republicans and could be a candidate for the nomination again in 2020, should the Republicans not win the White House in 2016.

Age: 48 (born November 2, 1967)

Campaign: Scott Walker for America

Main political views: Scott Walker has gotten a reputation of being tough on unions, something which is always popular among conservatives and what also added to Ronald Reagan’s popularity. Other than that, he is considered to be part of the Republican establishment.

Chances of winning: Walker dropped out of the race rather early (start September), despite being touted as one of the favorites along with Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio, in the very early stages of the race. Walker was hurt the hardest by the anti-establishment sentiment among voters, which candidates such as Donald Trump has campaigned on.
